Abusive Relationships

For my English Class my teacher told my class that she wanted us to write an essay about Abusive Relationships and why the abused do not try to get out of the abusive relationship.

What I found out was that people stay for many different reasons
It can be for love, security, and they don't think that other people will believe them that they are getting abused in their relationship.

Marlboro Ads

My Writing teacher wanted my class to look up ads that make people want try a product even though it is bad for you and your health; or the health of the people around yourself.

The old ads for Marlboro cigarettes were aimed to want people to smoke the Marlboro Cigarettes. The ads were mostly aimed for men. The ads that more men smoke Marlboro cigarettes in the world then any other cigarettes. The web sit that I found these ads were:

Here's to Your Health

Last week in my English writing class we had to read an essay entitled Here's to Your Health. Joan Dunayer is the writer of Here's to Your Health. She is the author of a couple of books. The book titles are Speciesism and Animal Equality: Language and Liberation. All of the books that Dunayer has done over the year have been of animal rights and issues in the world. Her essays that she has written have been in magazines, college textbooks, journals, and anthologies. Dunayer is a writer, editor, and animal rights advocate. She is the graduate of Princeton University where she got her degrees in English Literature, English Education, and psychology.

To go along with Here's Your Health, we had to look up what propaganda was and what propaganda there is around the world today or in the past.
Propaganda is a concerted set of massages aimed at influencing the opinions or behaviors of a large group of people. Propaganda was used a lot in the Second World War on both sides. Propaganda was also used in the Cold War between the Soviets and the United States, that happened after the Second World War.

This is one of the things that the United States used during the Cold War with the Soviets.

Do you think Dunayer's essay is one-sided or balanced? Explain. What additional points could be used to support her point or to rebut it?
Personally, I think that Dunayer's essay is one-sided and not balanced at all. To address the things at once she could have added why people drink in the first place and to add the statics that doctors have found out what might happen if people drink a little bit a day in there life.

President Richard Nixon

For my next assignment that I had to do for my writing class I had to find information about our 37th President Richard Nixon. I find out a lot of new things about Nixon that I did not know before I did this assignment. But it also refreshed my memory to about Nixon.
Nixon was born on January ninth 1913 in Yorba Linda, California. And he died on April twenty-second, 1994 in New York, New York. Richard Nixon went to Whittier College and Duke University Law School. After he graduated he opened up his own law firm. When the Second World War came around, Nixon served as Navy Lieutenant Commander in the Pacific. He started his policial career after he left the Navy. He was married to Patricia Ryan Nixon and they had two daughters together. Like I just said Nixon was the 37th President that the United States had in the country. Nixon was elected for two terms in office.
When Nixon was put into office the Vietnam War was still going on and he was the President that helped end that war. And also Nixon helped the United States relates with U.S.S.R. and China, which in part helped the Cold War because of what Nixon did with U.S.S.R. and China. But Nixon was thrown out of office after what happened with Watergate. Because he was thrown out of office, Nixon's second term ended in the first year (Nixon could not complete his second term).

In short the Watergate Scandal was just a way for the government it cover up what had happened in the past that they did not want the American people to know about. The reason why President Nixon resigned was because he was part of it and he wanted to just added it then and there. If you want to learn more about the Watergate Scandal you can go to the website that I find the information about the scandal. The website is:

If you want to see a picture of President Richard Nixon go to any website that talks about President Nixon. When you do there should be a picture of the President.
