For my next assignment that I had to do for my writing class I had to find information about our 37th President Richard Nixon. I find out a lot of new things about Nixon that I did not know before I did this assignment. But it also refreshed my memory to about Nixon.
Nixon was born on January ninth 1913 in Yorba Linda, California. And he died on April twenty-second, 1994 in New York, New York. Richard Nixon went to Whittier College and Duke University Law School. After he graduated he opened up his own law firm. When the Second World War came around, Nixon served as Navy Lieutenant Commander in the Pacific. He started his policial career after he left the Navy. He was married to Patricia Ryan Nixon and they had two daughters together. Like I just said Nixon was the 37th President that the United States had in the country. Nixon was elected for two terms in office.
When Nixon was put into office the Vietnam War was still going on and he was the President that helped end that war. And also Nixon helped the United States relates with U.S.S.R. and China, which in part helped the Cold War because of what Nixon did with U.S.S.R. and China. But Nixon was thrown out of office after what happened with Watergate. Because he was thrown out of office, Nixon's second term ended in the first year (Nixon could not complete his second term).

In short the Watergate Scandal was just a way for the government it cover up what had happened in the past that they did not want the American people to know about. The reason why President Nixon resigned was because he was part of it and he wanted to just added it then and there. If you want to learn more about the Watergate Scandal you can go to the website that I find the information about the scandal. The website is:

If you want to see a picture of President Richard Nixon go to any website that talks about President Nixon. When you do there should be a picture of the President.
